StatProb articles must be approved by the appropriate member of the Editorial Board. Each published article has an owner, which is its author if that person is available. Owners must approve changes to published articles.
The Editorial Board will approve articles that are authoritative, concise, focused, and reasonably complete discussions of specific topics in statistics and probability. The focus is on the synthesis of existing knowledge and we encourage short review articles that summarize information from a wide variety of sources. StatProb is not a journal and we do not publish original research results.
The article's introduction must be accessible to a wide audience. The most technical contributions should be accessible to advanced professionals in statistics and probability even if their expertise is in an area different from the area discussed in the article. Authors are strongly encouraged to include a section in the article that discusses parallels between the article's topic and other topics in statistics and/or probability.
Articles should contain no more than 3,000 words plus references. There should be no fewer than five references and we recommend at least one book be cited. Self-references should be held to a minimum. Please provide 5-10 informative keywords to tie articles across StatProb.
All StatProb articles must be written in LaTeX. Author can create LaTeX articles outside StatProb and copy them to the site.
